DedElectric, Seattle, WA
Live Music Review: DedElectric
I have been wanting to see DedElectric for a while now. Their name keeps popping up on playbills for local music festivals, and I am always hearing amazing things about the band. Unfortunately, I repeatedly missed them time after time due to work (as when I wanted to catch them at KISW Loud and Local Fest in July 2024), a commitment to other artists, or life just getting in the way.
I finally had the opportunity to see them live on January 11, 2025, at Darrells Tavern, and was it ever worth the wait. After that night, I felt compelled to research the group, learn more about the members, and listen to their incredible music. DedElectric has a sharp, slick website, which contains group information and gives access to some of their music. (I am jamming to them now as I write this live music review.) But before I present my thoughts on the concert, let me share a little of what I have learned about the group.
Who is DedElectric?
LTATM Live Music Review
Everything on the group website is 100,000% true! As DedElectric set up for their gig, I was chatting with Giselle from FATAL Butterfly, Corey from Pure Energy, and Tim’s wife from Fifteen Stitches. Then came the mic check warm up song: I stopped talking, focused on the band, and was transfixed. As I rocked out to their music, I thought I could hear some of the influences on it. I couldn’t determine what it might be for a long time, but when DedElectric nailed an old 80’s song, Corey and I decided the Cure might be the most appropriate comparison. Regardless, they definitely weave everything into an original sound and the performance blew me away.
As of today there are five talented members in the band: Joe Marzullo (guitar); Daymon Fritz (vocals); Graeme W. Smith (bass); Ben Frates (percussion); and the newest member, Justin Vinall (keys).
DedElectric is very active in the PNW music scene. To catch their next live show, please visit their facebook page. If you want to sample their playlist, they are on Bandcamp and Spotify—but I guarantee that nothing compares to seeing them live.

LTATM Personal Review
I personally love that they have such a warm and friendly atmosphere each time I go in there to support the local bands. This is my second time being there, and I sincerely hope I can go there many more times in the future to enjoy the incredible music and community spirit.
